May 23, 2011: Leisurely evening on Andrassy ut

May 23, 2011: While I was busy teaching, my guests went to Parliament to take a tour (Unfortunately, Parliament was in session so there were no tours for the day), to St. Stephen's, the Jewish Synagogue, to my favorite restaurant for lunch (while I had to eat noodles and sour cream at school!), and then the Opera House for a tour. We met at Alexandra's Coffee shop and visited the nice art gallery on the third floor of Alexandra's. After that we strolled to the House of Terror (closed) in front of which we saw a part of the Berlin Wall and a sculpture entitled "Iron Curtain".
"Iron Curtain" with piece of Berlin Wall behind
We returned to Liszt Ferenc ter for dinner eating at an outdoor table in my favorite restaurant in the square, an obviously popular restaurant (None of the neighboring restaurants were filling up as ours did). After dinner we took a leisurely walk back down town, passing an unusual float on the lake in the park.

We then returned to our respective hotel/apartment so that my guests could pack for their trip to Prague the following morning.
